Okeover Harbour Authority - Rates, General Policies & Procedures:
Rates: Daily moorage rates are $1 per foot. There is a four hour half-day rate at $0.25 per foot. Dinghies may stay up to four hours for $2.00. Vehicle parking includes boat launching; the cost is $5.00 per day.
Policies: By using the facilities you agree to abide by the policies and procedures established by the Okeover Harbour Authority. You may request to read the full version; listed below is a brief synopsis.
1. You are using the facility at your own risk and OHA is not responsible or liable for any loss, damage or injury.
2. The harbour does not offer preferred dock space. Please do not leave lines on the tie rails when your boat leaves the harbour; also do not leave personal belongings on the dock, except briefly.
3. Vessels must be maintained in seaworthy condition at all times, with minimum tie-up of 3 to 4 lines, with spring lines and sufficient fenders to avoid damage to dock and other boats.
4. Wharfingers have the right to re-tie dock lines, to board and / or to re-locate the vessel as they deem necessary for emergency or other purposes.
5. No long term live-aboards. No swimming in the OHA Water Lot.
6. No pollutants are to enter the water from any vessel (oil, fuel, contaminated bilge, sewage, greywater etc.
7. Minor repairs and maintenance must be conducted so as to prevent pollutants from entering water (sawdust, cleaning agents, metal filings etc.)
8. Major repairs must have prior approval of OHA.
9. Verbal or written harassment of Harbour Employees or other dock users is not allowed and cojuld result in loss of facility privileges.
10. Kayakers are reminded that the boat launch ramp can be busy and should not be used to load & unload kayaks. There is an area designated for kayaks north of the wharfhead.
11. Non-compliance with these policies may cause termination of the contract and loss of facility privileges. Non-payment of moorage is considered non-compliance.
